Citrini analyst Jukan stated that Nvidia is discussing adjusting the HBM configuration of the Rubin Ultra GPU, with plans to shift the main version from HBM4E 12Hi 384GB to HBM4 8Hi 192GB and subsequently release the HBM4E 8Hi version. If Nvidia's CoWoS production capacity allocation reaches 1.2 million pieces in 2027, the expected accelerator production is about 9.9 million pieces, of which Rubin Ultra production is about 1.6 million pieces. After adopting a lower specification HBM solution, Nvidia's HBM demand is expected to decrease from 24.1 billion Gb to 21.6 billion Gb in 2027, a decrease of about 10%, and the overall HBM demand will decrease by about 4%. Nvidia has increased accelerator production in the limited supply of HBM by adjusting the HBM configuration.
